Journaling your Journey
Journal Your Journey
One day, I woke up feeling utterly overwhelmed. I'd had a vivid dream that left me feeling anxious and upset. I tossed and turned, unsure of how to shake off the lingering emotions. That's when I remembered my trusty meditation spot in the corner of my bedroom. I sat down, took a few deep breaths, and began to focus on my breath.
As I counted, my heartbeat slowed, and my thoughts calmed. It was like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I felt centered, grounded, and ready to take on the day.
Of course, life had other plans. I got caught up in the usual chaos of parenting, errands, and household chores. But amidst the chaos, I found moments of peace. I found peace in the meditation that slowed my breath, redirected my attention to my body and mindfully became aware of myself instead of the thoughts i was feeling.
I grabbed my journal and drew a picture of my face, or there part of, vibrant and colourful, and it brought me joy. Added some reflections on my day, feelings, what was true, what was just stuck in my head. Ask yourself after you write something... Is that true? and see what arises. Where do you feel it in your body when you say it out loud. Write that down.....
When bedtime rolled around, I slept soundly, feeling more centered than I had all day.
As I reflect on this day, I'm reminded that meditation and journaling is a personal journey. It's not about following someone else's rules or guidelines; it's about finding what works for you. For me, finding my breath can make me enjoy every moment, and journaling is a way to process my thoughts, emotions, and experiences. It's a way to tap into my creativity and find clarity.
So, I encourage you to find your own style, your meditation toolbox and your own way of journaling. It might be focus meditation, singing a mantra, or creating a kundalini experience and for journaling it might be writing, drawing, scribbling, or scrapbooking – whatever feels most authentic to you. Don't be afraid to try new things or experiment with different techniques. The most important thing is to be true to yourself and let your creativity flow.
There are many techniques to explore and i hope you join me in the Intuitive Army to explore a variety to find what you enjoy. And you dont have to keep the same form, mash it up, let your intuitive style find you.
Be adventurous !
